Nexus 3: New Milestone Release

Nexus3

There are those of us that like to stay on the cutting edge of technology, fiddling with the latest and greatest, even if it means the experience might be a little rough around the edges.

Yes, that might mean suffering through a bunch of issues despite a warning not to install Mavericks on our main machine. But, we do it anyway. We like the excitement and the challenge, not to mention a chance to help shape a product even when it’s in a public beta.

If you find yourself among the “us” that I describe, then you'll want to checkout our Nexus 3 Milestone Releases. We’ve just launched the third in the series, and this time around User Experience, especially with regard to interface, is the focus.

We’ve covered everything in more detail in the Knowledge Base area of Sonatype Support. However, let’s take a look at some of the highlights.

Detail Panels

Previously these areas were a little crowded, even for those that might not suffer from software claustrophobia. We put together a video to give you a preview.

Bookmarked Searches

Now that searches have a specific URL, you can bookmark, copy, and/or paste them.

Modal Minimization

Modals can be a great thing, but we listened to feedback from our users and took a more modern approach. This brought about an overall reduction in modals, employing other options such as drilldowns that allow for more space.

And Much More…

The enhancements don’t stop there, take a look at our article, where you can also find the links to download the latest Milestone. Once you’ve done that, let us know what you think.
