By Tim OBrien
1 minute read time
We've added content to the m2eclipse chapter to cover the newly released POM Editor and the Dependency Management tools including the Dependency Tree and the Dependency Graph. The 0.9.5 release of m2eclipse added some useful features for managing POMs.
m2eclipse is changing so fast and has so much activity, we're finding it difficult to keep up with the pace of progress. Here are some of the changes to the m2eclipse chapter:
- Coverage of the POM Editor: 0.9.5 added a GUI interface which lets up manage a project's POM
- Information about the Dependency Tree: this is an invaluable tool for people who need insight into and control over the direct and transitive dependencies in a Maven project.
- How to generate a Dependency Graph. m2eclipse can generate an interactive graph of project dependencies.
Note: The features in this update are specific to the 0.9.5 development update. To install this version of the plugin, you are going to want to use the following update site when installing the plugin: http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/update-dev/
PS: The eclipse chapter is by far the most popular chapter in the book, in the short lifetime of the online book it has attracted tens of thousands of readers. We know you are out there, if you have any feedback for us, please let us know.
