14 Industry Leaders Collaborate to Improve the Customer Experience with Battle-Tested DevOps Native Solutions
Fulton, MD. – September 14, 2016 – Sonatype, the leader in software supply chain automation, today announced the launch of DevOps Express, a one-of-a-kind industry initiative that simplifies access to a set of integrated, battle-tested DevOps solutions aiming to accelerate any organization’s time-to-value.
Prior to DevOps Express, buyers were forced to assess, assemble and support best-in-breed solutions themselves. As a foundational member of DevOps Express, Sonatype collaborated with CloudBees to design an approach that makes it easier for enterprises to acquire, design, integrate and support DevOps native tools. Other industry leaders participating in the initiative include Atlassian, BlazeMeter, CA Technologies, Chef, DevOps Institute, GitHub, Infostretch, JFrog, Puppet Labs, Sauce Labs, SOASTA, and SonarSource.
“No single technology provider offers an end-to-end DevOps solution. That’s why this DevOps Express initiative is a crucial industry development,” said Wayne Jackson, CEO, Sonatype. “In fact, DevOps practices have always emphasized collaboration within an organization to accelerate the pace of software delivery. Sonatype and the other DevOps Express partners are extending that collaboration into the buyer’s journey.”
As part of the DevOps Express initiative, Sonatype is delivering a set of twelve integrations available to the community. Integrations include:
- Atlassian (JIRA Software, Bamboo, Crowd)
- CA Technologies (CA Release Automation and Action Packs)
- Chef (Chef cookbook for Nexus)
- CloudBees (Jenkins and the new Nexus Jenkins Plug-in)
- Puppet
- SonarSource (SonarQube)
Beyond product integrations, Sonatype has also taken the lead with DevOps Express partners to deliver the first set of 31 DevOps reference architectures. Each of the architectures reveals real-world deployments that integrate tools from participating DevOps Express members.
“DevOps Express is designed to streamline the efforts of enterprises looking to accelerate software development and delivery,” said Sacha Labourey, CEO and founder of CloudBees. “In partnership with Sonatype and other best-in-breed technology vendors, we are able to move the needle and provide enterprises with integrated DevOps solutions.”
“Every organization moving into the continuous delivery and DevOps era will benefit from the kind of organic industry collaboration exemplified by DevOps Express”, said Donnie Berkholz, Research Director for Development, DevOps, & IT Ops at 451 Research. “Rather than forcing enterprises to find their own way through a transformation, DevOps Express founding members are taking a proactive stance to help identify, integrate, and support a set of battle-tested, DevOps-native solutions.”
