The new plug-in further automates continuous delivery processes
Fulton, MD. – September 14, 2016 – Sonatype, the leader in software supply chain automation, today announced the availability of a new plug-in for the CloudBees Jenkins 2 platform that further automates release management processes with Nexus Repository.
To better support continuous operations, the Nexus Jenkins Plug-in provides developers with a unique step that can be invoked dynamically during any stage of the Jenkins pipeline. Whether containerizing applications somewhere in the pipeline, or running open source governance tools such as Nexus Lifecycle, developers now have the flexibility to publish artifacts to Nexus Repository whenever they want.
“Java is one of the world’s most popular programming languages, and the majority of companies rely on Jenkins for their Java builds,” said Wayne Jackson, CEO, Sonatype. “The Nexus Jenkins Plug-In provides the product integration and enhanced flexibility that our customers need during their continuous delivery processes.”
The free Nexus Jenkins Plug-In uses the new Pipeline DSL/API available with Jenkins 2. The plug-in was built in support of the DevOps Express industry initiative -- announced at Jenkins World on September 14th. The DevOps Express initiative provides access to a set of integrated, battle-tested DevOps solutions that aims to accelerate any organization’s time-to-value. DevOps Express is a collaborative industry effort supported by Sonatype, CloudBees, Puppet, Chef, SonarSource, Sauce Labs, and other leading technology vendors.
